Step 2
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring strict adherence to project specifications, Australian standards, and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions promptly, maintaining high project standards.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate effective communication and seamless coordination of all site operations.
- Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, meticulously documenting site activities, resource allocation, and project milestones.
- Manage and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and other technical documents to guide construction teams and ensure accurate execution.
- Implement and enforce robust occupational health and safety protocols on-site, conducting regular toolbox talks and safety briefings to cultivate a culture of safety.
- Identify and resolve on-site technical challenges, employing sound engineering principles and innovative problem-solving techniques.
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of project phases, ensuring efficient resource utilization and timely project completion.
Step 3
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of demonstrated experience in civil site engineering, specifically within large-scale infrastructure projects in Australia.
- Proven expertise in site management, quality assurance, and adherence to Australian construction codes and safety standards.
- Strong proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and project-related technical documentation.
- Valid White Card and a thorough understanding of WHS regulations and best practices specific to Australian construction sites.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of effective collaboration with diverse project stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and resolve complex on-site challenges under pressure.
- Proficiency in project management software and relevant engineering tools such as AutoCAD or similar.
