Step 2

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with French and international accounting standards.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing insightful analysis and commentary on performance.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic and achievable financial plans.
  • Oversee all tax compliance, including VAT, corporate income tax, and other relevant declarations, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
  • Support external audits, serving as the primary point of contact and providing all necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to senior leadership, contributing to business development and long-term planning initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior accounting role, with at least 7-10 years of progressive experience.
  • Deep understanding of French accounting principles (GAAP) and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
  • Fluency in both French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, DESCF) is highly desirable.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero) and strong Excel modeling skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
