Step 2

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging English language lesson plans for primary school students, aligning with the international curriculum standards.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure active student participation.
  • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support their linguistic development.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and administrative staff to create a cohesive and supportive educational experience.
  • Participate actively in professional development workshops and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and stay abreast of best practices.
  • Organize and supervise extracurricular activities related to English language and literature, fostering a broader appreciation for the subject.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including attendance, grades, and behavioral observations.
  • Contribute to the school community by assisting in school-wide events and initiatives as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrable experience teaching English to primary school-aged children in an international school setting.
  • Possession of a recognized teaching certification or licensure is mandatory.
  • Proven ability to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
  • Strong command of the English language, both written and oral, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with modern educational technologies and their application in enhancing language learning.
  • Adaptability and a genuine enthusiasm for working in a multicultural environment.
  • Previous experience living and working internationally, particularly in the Middle East, is a distinct advantage.
