Cleveland Regional Health is expanding its Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and hiring registered nurses who want to specialize in newborn critical care. You will work alongside neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and lactation consultants to deliver family-centered care.
This role suits nurses who love complex physiology, thrive under structured teamwork, and want to grow into charge or educator positions over time. The unit runs 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends.
Cleveland Regional invests heavily in continuing education, including reimbursement for RNC-NIC certification and paid conference attendance.
Step 2
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill neonates
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs precisely
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team
- Educate and support parents throughout their infant's stay
- Document accurately in the electronic health record
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement projects
Step 3
Requirements
- Active RN license in Ohio (or eligible for endorsement)
- BSN preferred; ADN with commitment to complete BSN accepted
- BLS and NRP certification required at hire
- 1+ year of NICU experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking and calm demeanor under pressure
