Step 2

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend services primarily using Go, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Implement and optimize complex algorithms and data structures for efficient data processing and storage within a distributed system.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, front-end engineers, and other stakeholders to translate product requirements into technical specifications and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Lead code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the architectural design and evolution of our backend infrastructure, identifying and addressing technical debt proactively.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, ensuring system stability and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for APIs, services, and system architecture.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to support critical production systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with a strong emphasis on Go.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing highly available, scalable, and secure distributed systems.
  • Deep understanding of database technologies, both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB), and experience with data modeling.
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, including familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Solid grasp of API design principles (RESTful, gRPC) and best practices for building secure and efficient services.
  • Experience with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) and event-driven architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote, globally distributed team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
