Step 2
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and engineering aspects of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects from conception through to commissioning, ensuring adherence to local regulations and international standards. Conduct detailed site assessments, feasibility studies, and energy production analyses to optimize system performance and project viability. Develop comprehensive project plans, specifications, and scope documents, collaborating with cross-functional teams including procurement, construction, and finance. Manage technical interfaces with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring clear communication and successful project execution. Oversee the selection and specification of key project components, including PV modules, inverters, racking systems, and monitoring equipment. Provide expert technical support during the construction and installation phases, resolving any engineering-related issues promptly and efficiently. Implement and maintain rigorous quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle to guarantee the highest standards of safety and reliability. Prepare detailed technical reports, progress updates, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external clients.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a closely related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in solar PV project engineering, with a strong portfolio of successfully completed utility-scale or large commercial projects in the GCC region. Proven expertise in solar PV system design software, such as PVSyst, Helios 3D, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering tools. In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian electrical codes, regulations, and interconnection requirements for solar projects. Demonstrated experience in managing project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively while achieving technical objectives. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to diverse audiences. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential technical risks. Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous. Professional engineering license or certification is preferred.
