Step 2
Key Responsibilities
- Strategically oversee all daily warehouse operations, ensuring optimal efficiency, productivity, and adherence to company standards for safety and quality.
- Develop and implement robust operational policies and procedures to enhance workflow, minimize errors, and improve overall logistical performance.
- Manage, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of warehouse staff, fostering a positive work environment, conducting performance reviews, and identifying training needs.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, and meticulously track all goods to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Collaborate closely with other departments, including transportation, customer service, and procurement, to ensure integrated and seamless supply chain execution.
- Identify and implement new technologies and process improvements to streamline warehouse functions, reduce operational costs, and enhance service delivery.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local and international shipping regulations, safety protocols, and company policies, maintaining a secure and ethical operating environment.
- Prepare and analyze operational reports, deriving insights to drive continuous improvement and present findings to senior management.
Step 3
Requirements
- A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in warehouse management or a similar operational leadership role within the logistics or supply chain industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale warehouse operations, including inventory control, shipping and receiving, and facility management.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire a diverse team, possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a track record of implementing effective operational improvements.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel for data analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and health and safety standards applicable to warehousing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Fluent in both Dutch and English, written and spoken, to effectively communicate with local and international stakeholders.
